A Commitment to Clarity
Each piece from Velvet Clove: Found & Finished carries a unique history and bespoke transformation. Our policies are designed to protect the integrity of these one-of-a-kind, investment-grade pieces and ensure a clear, transparent transaction process.
I. Sales Policy: Found & Finished is Final Sale
• Final Sale Agreement: Due to the curated, one-of-a-kind, vintage, and bespoke nature of our inventory, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit.
• Condition Acknowledgment: By purchasing, the collector acknowledges that vintage and antique items carry natural signs of age, patina, and history. We detail any significant flaws in the product description, and these characteristics are considered integral to the piece’s value and story.
• Order Cancellation (Commissions): Once the design deposit is secured for a commission, that deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations prior to the final payment will forfeit the initial design deposit.
II. Shipping, Insurance, & Freight
• Shipping for Small Curiosities: Smaller items (e.g., BookNooks, Curiosities) are shipped via Australia Post with full insurance covering the value of the piece. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
• Freight for Found Furniture: All furniture pieces are shipped via specialised freight carrier due to size and fragility.
Quoting: Freight is not calculated at checkout. After purchase, we will contact you within 48 hours to secure a competitive, insured white-glove delivery quote.
Payment: The piece will ship only after the separate freight invoice has been paid in full.
• Packaging Standards: Every piece is professionally packaged with museum-quality standards to ensure it survives transit and arrives ready to tell its tale.
III. Care & Patina
• A Living Finish: We encourage the collector to view the patina on wood and metal finishes as a living sign of history. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, abrasives, or excessive heat/moisture.
• Maintenance: (Care) Our finishes are designed for longevity; occasional dusting with a soft cloth is usually sufficient. Specific care instructions are included with every major purchase.
